Dear Friends,
The late spring and early summer is such a beautiful time of year. The weather practically begs you to go outside. Some vacation time is, hopefully, in the works.
Still, as Shakespeare noted long ago, even this exquisite season has its imperfections: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, / And summer’s lease hath all too short a date; / Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, / And often is his gold complexion dimm’d; / And every fair from fair sometime declines, / By chance or nature’s changing course untrimm’d (Sonnet 18). But we look to One to whom we can say with far deeper meaning than the Bard ever intended: But thy eternal summer shall not fade.
